This is a training that dives deeper into how the U.S. government structures operate. In contrast to a typical citizenship course that focuses primarily on passing the test, in this training, we’ll look at how local, state and federal governments are set up, who currently has power and influence, and the importance of building community power to create positive change.

This temporary protection is great news for people who were evacuated from Afghanistan and have recently arrived in Iowa. It also means that in the coming weeks and months, Iowa MMJ will need to drastically shift our legal program in order to meet this urgent need.
